During that hour of navigation, you can enjoy the Bassin de la Villette. It is a pond located between the Canal Saint-Martin and the Canal de l’Ourcq. The Bassin de la Villette is the starting point of every Marin d’Eau Douce’s cruise. On this 1 kilometre pond you will be able to navigate from the Rotonde Stalingrad up to the Crimée Bridge. During those 1-hour strolls the navigation area is limited by these borders. In one hour, you can’t sail out of the Bassin de la Villette.

This pond of 800 meters long et 70 meters wide is the best place to discover the navigation pleasure. This is a perfect strolling shape make your children discover the boating charms or to enjoy an aperitif with your friends. Created by Napoleon the 1st at the beginning of the 19th century, the Bassin de la Villette is the biggest artificial pond of Paris. It was waterd up on December the 2nd of 1808. It’s bordered north by the Crimée lifting Bridge next to the Former Magasins Généraux and south by the Stalingrad Squarre where you can see the Rotonde Ledoux.
Now, this pond is a beautiful space dedicated to the relaxation in particular by hosting Paris Place since 2007. The pond is also hosting the MK2 cinemas which is unique in the one hand due to its setting up in caste-iron structures, but also because an electric boat link the two buildings located each side of the pond.
